Olympics Commuting Plan

Transport for London staff have been handing out maps to commuters this week urging them to consider walking to work after the Games start at the end of July.

An estimated one million extra journeys will be made in London during the Games this summer, placing a huge strain on the capital's transport network.

Firms have been asked to vary the hours of their staff and allow them to work from home.

Arrangements for civil servants working in London have been under discussion for several weeks, and it's now been confirmed they too will be asked to change their commuting habits.
