St Paul's Protesters Charged

Seven people have been charged - after some of the protesters held a demonstration outside the Lord Mayor's Banquet last night.

A number of anti-capitalist protesters, from the camp at St Pauls Cathedral, were arrested by police after gathering outside the Guildhall during the Lord Mayor's Banquet.

Meanwhile City of London officials say they will restart legal action to clear the campsite around St Paul's Cathedral.

It's after they say talks with protesters "got nowhere" and comes as campaigners plan a protest outside the US Embassy - after riot police cleared a similar anti-capitalist camp near Wall Street in New York claiming it was a health hazard.

The city's Mayor says they can return once the area's been cleared of tents and cleaned.
