A 71-year-old woman has died after she is believed to have been mauled by dogs in her daughter's back garden in south London.

Police were called to the house in Morden  at around 6.25pm on Tuesday where the woman, who lived next door,  was found dead with multiple injuries.

They have seized five dogs including two Bordeaux bulldogs, two American bulldogs and a mongrel from the property in Rutland Drive.

Met Police say none of the animals are banned breeds, and no arrests have been made.

A post-mortem examination will now be carried out  at St George's Hospital in Tooting.
