Lost under a sea of nappies

Ahhh hello, there you are! Or here I am. I had little Louis just over 2 weeks ago and I'm sure you'll forgive me for being a little preoccupied and lost under a sea of nappies. Thankfully it's all going quite well. As I write this he's sleeping in his moses basket next to me and yet I still keep jumping up at the sound of every unfamiliar noise to check he's ok. Invariably he is, it's just me who's become neurotic.

I'm trying to get the hang of nappy changing and some attempts are more successful than others. It seems fairly easy for me to make things worse than he did. He's really good at doing his business in his nappy and I'm getting really good at ensuring that it ends up on his feet and his clothing and sometimes even spilling out in to a second nappy. Louis is a very calm baby but hates being changed which is a problem for him when his mother is borderline incompetent. Still, I sense a strong bond forming and I love him so much already it's frightening.

I've been reading all the wonderful messages that have been left on this website. My husband and I (you have to say that like the Queen) have been so touched so thank you. Louis has received some lovely cards and presents, none more exciting for my husband than the one he got from Spurs which has been signed by Harry Redknapp and the team. Thank you, Harry, for the warm welcome to Louis. If you need another strong pair of legs in your team anytime soon Louis will be ready!
