Two men have been arrested over an arson attack at a block of flats in Milton Keynes that left ten adults and three children needing medical treatment.
Firefighters were called to The Gables on St George's Way, Wolverton at 1.14am on Tuesday 3 July 2012. Nearly fifty firefighters were called out to deal with the incident, from Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Buckingham and Aylesbury.
Rubbish had been set alight outside a flat on the seventh floor of the block, and this caused smoke to fill the lobby.
Smoke also filtered through an open door and up the stairwell and into the common areas of the eighth and ninth floors.
A person who lives in the block threw a bucket of water on to the fire, and two firefighters used water backpacks to make sure it was out. They then used a large fan to clear away the smoke.
Thames Valley Police said two men aged 25 and 45 had been arrested over the fire, and were being held in custody.
