Around 3,500 people were expected to run the Milton Keynes Half Marathon on Sunday 7/3/10
It started at 10am at Xscape in Central Milton Keynes where organisers created a Festival of Running. As well as the half marathon distance, people could opt for a 5k run or a 10k.
This year was the ninth time the event's been held in Milton Keynes.
Eight of the people who took part were doing the challenge with MK based charity Climb Your Mountain, which helps people achieve their physical goals.
Jane Kerindi is a volunteer with the charity:
"Everybody does these sort of challenges for their own personal reasons. But I'm sure anybody would tell you, to complete a half marathon is a fantastic achievement. It's good for your friends and family to see you achieve it as well."
