Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital

A man's been airlifted to hospital following a collision between a motorbike and a lorry in Buckingham.

It happened just before 9am this morning (Monday) on the junction of Addington Road and Moreton Road.

Firefighters and paramedics looked after the injured motorcyclist while the air ambulance was on its way from RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. They carried him to the helicopter on a longboard and he was taken to hospital.

Crew Manager Stuart Irwin from Buckingham Fire Station said:

“The three organisations worked well together to make sure he was given the right care as quickly as possible.”
