A man's been charged with the murder of a 76 year old Buckinghamshire woman missing since before Christmas.
Patricia Goodband from Aylesbury (right) was reported missing by her family on Wednesday 9 January 2013.
Thames Valley Police had thought she had last been seen being dropped off at Milton Keynes Central rail station on Saturday 22 December 2012, but they now believe she went missing five days earlier on Monday 17 December.
Christopher Symons, aged 63, of Thackeray End, Aylesbury, has been charged with one count of murder. Robert Taft, aged 59, of Kings Close, Westcott, Aylesbury, has been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.
Both men were remanded in custody and were due to appear before Aylesbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17 January.
Police are continuing to carry out searches at three locations in the Aylesbury area in connection with the inquiry, including Patricia’s home in Woodham.
