A three-year-old boy's received minor head injuries after being hit by a car yesterday (Monday) morning.

It happened in Bletchley in Milton Keynes at about 8.30am.

The toddler had been waiting at the side of Buckingham Road with his mum, when they were waved across by a female driver in a blue Mini Cooper. But instead of stopping, the driver kept going and hit the boy.

He received minor head injuries.

At first the driver told his mother she would park the car and get out, but she drove off without stopping.

PC Faraz Vakani, who's investigating, said:

"The boy was lucky to have not been more seriously hurt. I would appeal for the driver to come forward and for anyone with any information about the incident to contact us as soon as possible."
