Nude NOT Naked!

Starring: Lynda Bellingham, Gemma Atkinson, Judith Barker, Letitia Dean, Jan Harvey and Hannah Waterman - a group of ordinary women do something extraordinary and spark a global phenomenon when they persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference!

My friend Darren’s got a bit of a thing for Linda Bellingham so when I said I was off to see her in Calendar Girls at Mk Theatre his eyes lit up and he went ‘is that the one where she gets naked?!!’

In the words of her character Nude NOT Naked and it’s all very clever and tasteful! She isn’t the only one either – the rest of the female cast including Hannah Waterman and Gemma Atkinson manage to keep her company very well.

In fact the ‘clothes off’ part, although fun is not the main event of this brilliant play. It’s the endearing characters, hilarious one liners, poignant moments and general life affirming messages that make it a really great experience.

There’s a real sense of sisterhood about Calendar Girls which makes it great to go and see with the girls or your mum and there’s loads to appreciate in it for men too besides the obvious!

Calendar Girls is showing at MK Theatre until 27th March.

It triumphed in the West End and is now the fastest selling tour ever.  Based on an inspiring true story, Calendar Girls is quirky, poignant and hilarious. The Daily Mail called it 'a marvellous, uplifting night at the theatre.'
