Donald Miller of Ohio has been ruled 'legally dead' in court - despite being at the hearings himself. Miller fled his wife and two children in 1986 and was declared dead eight years later. When he re-appeared to apply for a driving licence in 2005, authorities were shocked. Judge Allan Davis said he was not legally allowed to declare Miller alive: "We've got the obvious here. A man sitting in the courtroom, he appears to be in good health," he conceded. "I don't know where that leaves you, but you're still deceased as far as the law is concerned."
