Architect Sou Fujimoto stands inside his Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London. The Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, the installation occupies 357 square-metres of the lawn in front of the gallery. Using a latticed structure of 20 mm steel poles with a cafe sited inside, visitors are encouraged to enter and interact with the Pavilion in different ways.
A mother and baby elephant sculpture from the Elephant Family by New York artist Olek parade through Covent Garden's iconic Piazza. The bespoke crochet artwork was created in live view of the public over a two week period in Covent Garden. The piece is to be auctioned at The Animal Ball on 9th July.
Purbrook Bowmen fire a volley of flaming arrows from Southsea Castle as part of a day of events to mark the opening of the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.The Mary Rose was a warship part of the Tudor navy of King Henry VIII. She sank in the Solent on 19 July 1545 during an invasion by the French fleet. The wreck of the Mary Rose was rediscovered in 1971 and salvaged in 1982. The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard is the new home to warship and some of the 19,000 artefacts that sank with her. The museum opens 30 years after the hull of Mary Rose was raised from the sea.
According to research by the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, the faces painted on Lego figures are becoming grumpier. If this little fellow is anything to go by, then we might have to agree.
These yachts prepare to compete in the JP Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race off Cowes, Isle of Wight. 1,459 sailing yachts, large and small took part in the anti-clockwise circumnavigation of the island which has been running since 1931.

Hombres de Musgo or 'Moss Men' take part in the Corpus Christi procession in Bejar, Spain. The tradition, which dates back to 1397, originates from a legend involving Christians reconquering the town by entering under cover of darkness covered in moss to camouflage themselves from the Muslim guards. This tradition merged with the Corpus Christi procession in the 14th Century.
