10. Queen Elizabeth II and Philip Mountbatten
Her Majesty the Queen wed the Duke of Edinburgh in 20 November 1947 and the pair have remained together ever since. Lizzie was just 13-years-old when she met and fell in love Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark. The two teenagers began pen pals and wrote one another letters and they later became secretly engaged in 1946. No formal engagement was actually made however, until Elizabeth's 21st birthday.
