Vorderman wants to celebrate in style

Carol Vorderman has decided to celebrate her 50th birthday with fifty parties throughout the year, because she was born on Christmas Eve, making it difficult to gather her friends on the actual day.

Vorderman has been hitting the gym five times a week in a bid to look toned for her birthday. The maths expert has decided to party in style to make up for all the birthdays she's missed out in the past.

She is said to be planning one bash in Portugal and one in the style of Mamma Mia! the musical.

Vorderman is currently single, after splitting up with partner Des Kelly at the beginning of the year.
