Duffy chooses Wales over Hollywood

The singer chooses small Welsh film over Hollywood movie

Singer Duffy has revealed she's turned down a role in a Hollywood film in order to star in a small budget Welsh film.

The "Mercy" singer will co-star along Brothers and Sisters Welsh actor Matthew Rhys in Patagonia, directed by Marc Evans of My Little Eye fame. Duffy will play a student called Sissy.

The Welsh girl has admitted she didn't feel ready for Hollywood when she was asked for a casting and felt more comfortable in a smaller role.

Duffy's new album, Endlessly, is released in November.
