Women can't have it all, says Emma Thompson
The British actress thinks women should give themselves a break and not expect to do it and have it all
Thompson, who has a 10-year-old biological daughter and a now 23-year-old adopted son from Rwanda with actor Greg Wise, has said in an interview with the American edition of magazine Good Housekeeping, that women should stop believing that they can have it all.
According to the 51-year-all it's impossible to juggle full-time work with motherhood unless help is hired, which she refuses to do.
The Oscar winner and her husband work in turns so that at least one parent can be at home with daughter Gaia.
Thompson also stressed that it's important that mothers admit to themselves that they can't do it all, instead of feeling like failures when they can't manage to take care of everything in their lives.
