Police investigating the serious sexual assault of a 19 year old woman have arrested an 18 year old man.
The incident happened in an alleyway off Cathedral Street in Norwich in the early hours on Sunday 15 May between 12.30am and 1am.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was walking along Prince of Wales Road towards the train station when she was approached by a man who grabbed her.
The victim was taken into an alleyway where a second man held the woman while she was sexually assaulted by the first offender. Her handbag, which contained a mobile phone, was stolen along with items of clothing.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
