Attempted Car-Jacking

Police are investigating an attempted robbery ‘car-jacking’ incident that happened on Anson’s Lane between Wood Lane and Mill Road, Hardwick, near Long stratton at around 6.30 pm on Thursday 29 September.

A 21-year-old man was travelling in a dark coloured VW Golf when he was flagged down by a man who claimed to be looking for a dog. A knife was then used to threaten the driver who was told to get out of his car. The motorist drove off but sustained a slight injury to his chest that did not require medical attention.

 

The offender is described as a white, about 40, 5ft 8 of stocky build with a shaven head. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top and black jeans.
