Former Conservative MP for west Norfolk Baroness Gillian Shephard speaks to Heart about what it was like to work with Margaret Thatcher during her time in power.
Gillian Shephard became Member of Parliament for West Norfolk in 1987, when she worked as a junior minister.
Now retired, Baroness Shephard shared some of her memories of working with the Iron Lady, saying "She was very kind, which may come as a surprise to some people but not to those who knew her.
"I hope she will be remembered as someone who became Prime Minister and changed the lives and aspirations of women forever."
