Gt Yarmouth: Man Jailed After Ear Bite Attack

A man's been jailed after punching a man and biting off some of his ear.

A 39-year-old man has been jailed for 27 months (two years and three months) after pleading guilty to the unlawful wounding of a 41-year-old man in an incident at premises in King Street in Great Yarmouth on Friday 2 March.

The incident happened around 5.25pm when the 41-year-old was attacked by 39-year-old Mark Turner, of Euston Road in Great Yarmouth.

The 41-year-old was punched in the face and had part of his ear bitten off and had to undergo plastic surgery.

Turner appeared at Norwich Crown Court for sentencing last Tuesday, 24 July, and was given the 27 month sentence, minus 136 days already spent on remand.
