Police were called to Mill Close in Norwich at 12.30pm yesterday to find a woman and two children with what appeared to be knife wounds.
The three victims - a 23 year old woman, who's been named as Victoria Meek, and her daughters - are currently receiving treatment at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for their injuries.
Police have said the woman has now regained consciousness, but remains in hospital. A three-year-old girl also remains in a critical but stable condition and a six-year-old girl is in a stable condition.
A 28-year-old Norfolk man was arrested in Great Yarmouth yesterday in connection with this incident and is currently in police custody.
Police are also appealing for anyone who discovers a knife on South Beach Parade in Great Yarmouth to contact them immediately.
