Two men are in hospital after a car crashed into a lamp post in Ipswich last night.
Police were called to the junction of Stoke Park Drive and Belstead Road just after 7.30pm yesterday evening to reports that a car had collided with a lamp post.
Ambulance crews including the Air Ambulance, and the fire service also rushed to the scene.
There were two men inside the red Renault Clio involved in the collision, and the 21-year-old passenger has been airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital with serious head and internal injuries.
The 20-year-old man driving was also injured and he was taken to Ipswich Hospital.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash or the collision itself, or anyone with information, to call PC Jeremy Cohen at Suffolk Police by dialling 101.
