Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Belle Vue Park in Lowestoft around 4.50am – 5am yesterday, Wednesday 16 April.
A 40-year-old man was on his way to work and crossed the footbridge over The Ravine heading into the park. He walked past the canons to steps that lead to Cart Score when the backpack he was carrying was grabbed from behind and he then saw two men, one of them armed with a knife.
One of the men demanded he hand over his valuables and a watch was then removed from the 40-year-old’s wrist before the two men walked away. The black-faced Viceroy watch was the only thing stolen. The 40-year-old was uninjured.
The two offenders are described as white, with one in his 40s, around 6ft tall, of medium build with dark hair, who was wearing a dark coloured winter-style jacket, and the other in his late 20s to 30s, taller than the first man, of medium build, with short dark receding hair, a short dark beard, a pale bad complexion and was wearing dark trousers, a thick winter-style dark zip-up jumper and dirty white trainers.
