Lowestoft: Two Arrests After Air Weapon Found

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence following an incident in Pakefield Street in Lowestoft at around 7.50pm yesterday, Wednesday 14 December.

Police were initially called to a report that a man and two women had visited an address in the road and then been threatened with what appeared to be a firearm. Officers, including armed police, attended and the two men  - a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old  - were arrested a short time later.

A search was made of the address  - a flat - and an air weapon and other property, including what are believed to be counterfeit DVDs, were seized.

The two men are currently in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where they are being interviewed by officers in connection with the incident and the found property.
