Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry was damaged whilst driving along the A47 Southern Bypass.

At around 8.15am on Tuesday 17th of January, the lorry was travelling westbound between the A140 and A11 junctions south of Norwich when a man wearing dark jeans and a bomber jacket was seen on a footbridge.

He launched a stone off the bridge which struck the windscreen, causing a chip. The driver swerved and was shocked but unhurt.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen any suspicious activity on bridges over the A47, or anyone with any information about this incident.

Calls should be made to PC Anthony McDonnell at Norwich Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
