Norwich: Man in Court Over Stabbing

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a stabbing on Dereham Road in Norwich over the weekend.

Sean Simpson, aged 41 and of Dereham Road in Norwich, has been charged with GBH wounding with intent, after a man suffered a stab wound to the stomach on Sunday evening 22 July 2012.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 7th August.

The injured man remains in a serious but stable condition in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A 51 year old man and a 31 year old woman, both local, also arrested in connection with this incident, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
