Police are appealing for information after petrol was poured through a letterbox at a house in Norwich.

At around 1.30am on Tuesday 12 June 2012 the occupants of the property on Alicante Way were disturbed by a bang at the door and discovered the petrol. Two men were seen running from the address across Henderson Green towards Ranworth Road.

Investigating officer PC Richard Walker said: "The potential for this damage to have escalated is clear and police and the fire service were sent immediately to the scene. Fortunately the petrol did not ignite and the damage caused was limited.

"I want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious, or anyone with information about this incident."
