Officers from the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team have today closed their investigation into the death of William Phillips.
Thirty-four-year-old Mr Phillips died following an altercation in Oak Street, Norwich, which took place on Wednesday 18 July 2012. A man was arrested in connection with this incident and had been released on police bail.
The facts relating to the death have been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration and a decision has been made that no further action should be taken against the arrested man. Mr Phillips's family has been informed.
