Norwich: Witness Appeal After Robbery

Detectives investigating an armed robbery which happened in Norwich yesterday have released details of a potential witness they are keen to trace.

Shortly before 10am a man entered M&Ms convenience store in Wingfield Road, at the junction with Oak Street, and demanded money from the cashier before threatening him with what is described as a handgun.

The robber got away with a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene along Wingfield Road towards Alysham Road.

Officers are keen to trace a woman seen walking from Wingfield Road into St Martins Road moments before the robbery took place.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Martin Clabon, from Norwich CID, said: "The woman was pushing a buggy while a toddler walked alongside her holding her hand. We are keen to trace this person as we believe she may hold important information about the incident."
