Norwich: Woman Charged After Racist Incident

Police in Norwich investigating a racist incident which happened on a bus in Bowthorpe have charged a woman with public order offences.

The incident is alleged to have happened on a stationary bus in Humbleyard on Thursday 20 September when four women and a young girl were racially verbally abused.

Sarah Lowery, 32 and of Lushington Close, Norwich has been charged with four counts of racially aggravated common assault and one count of threatening behaviour.

Lowery has been released on bail to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday 26 October.
