Special teams have now left a building site after investigating a bomb scare.

They had to call in the help of the RAF after a worker found a six foot long torpedo shaped object on the site on Church Street in Saxmundham just before midday yesterday.

RAF teams opened it and found nothing inside so they've taken it away. The site was cleared by around 9pm last night.

The street, which had been closed, has now re-opened.
