Second Man Absconds From Suffolk Prison

A second prisoner has absonded from Hollesley Bay prison in Suffolk, in less than 48 hours.

Police were contacted by the prison at 8.30pm last night (25th May) reporting that 30-year-old Lewis Powter (pictured) was no longer at the premises. He was last seen at 6.50pm earlier that evening and was not present for the 8pm roll check.

Powter , who is serving an indeterminate sentence for grievous bodily harm with intent, is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, of medium build, with brown hair, blue eyes and clean shaven.  He also has a tattoo on his right arm of Dennis the Menace.

The last time he was seen he was wearing a blue jumper with a white t shirt underneath, blue jeans and white Ralph Lauren trainers.

He has connections in the Cambridgeshire area.

Police are continuing to look for 49-year-old Paul Oddysses who absconded from the prison on Saturday lunchtime. He's serving a life sentence for robbery and attempted robbery.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information about where he is to contact officers. You should not approach him or take any further action.
