Police received a report that a 19-year-old woman had been assaulted in the churchyard at St Michael at Plea on Redwell Street between 12.30am and 1.50am on Sunday 7 August. The woman received help from specialist officers and staff at Norfolk's Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
Police want to speak to anyone who was in the Redwell Street and Queens Street area of the city at the time and may have seen anyone entering or leaving the churchyard. Officers particularly want to trace two men wearing white shirts who were seen nearby at the time, and may be important witnesses in this case. We would like to make it clear that these men are not considered suspects at this time.
Calls should be made to DC Steve Graves on 0845 456 4567 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
