Toft Monks: Tribute To Man Who Died

Following the death of Lee Goldsmith after an incident in Toft Monks in Norfolk on New Year's Day, his family has issued the following tribute:

"Mr and Mrs Goldsmith are devastated following the loss of their youngest son, Lee, on New Year’s Day.

Lee, aged 23, was a treasured son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family request they are permitted this time in private to grieve their loss."

Two men aged 38 and 45 arrested in connection with the incident are currently on police bail.

Toft Monks: Unexplained Death

Detectives are investigating an unexplained death following an incident in Toft Monks in Norfolk the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police were called to Mardle Road at 3.15am following reports of a disturbance outside the White Lion public house. An ambulance also attended the scene. A 23-year-old man was taken to the James Paget University Hospital but later died.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.

Two men aged 38 and 45 have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

An investigation has been started to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Norwich CID on 101.
