A couple in their sixies have won nearly £3.5 million in Saturday's Lotto.

Wellingborough's Chris and Sue Bowers usually do the lottery online, but this time they ofted for picking the lucky numbers using pen and paper.

60-year-old Sue Bowers retired 10 weeks ago from her admin job, and will now be joined by 61-year-old Chris; who'll be leaving his job as a forklift driver three-and-a-half years early.

The lucky ticket was bought from the town's Sainsbury's store, earning the pair a whooping windfall of £3,497,114.

They say their first big spend will be on a new house, where Chris' 92-year-old father can live with them.
