Police have confirmed a man arrested in Morocco is a Chinese businessman they're hunting after a family of four were stabbed to death at home in Northampton.

University lecturer Jeff, 46, his wife Helen, 47, and their children Xing, 18, and Alice, 12, (all pictured, right) died at their home in Wootton on Friday 29 April 2011.

Efforts are now being made to bring Anxiang Du, 53, back to the UK for questioning.  Northamptonshire Police say the Home Office are dealing with the extradition procedures.

Anxiang Du was Helen's former business partner in a Chinese Herbal Remedy business.  It's not known how long it will take to bring him  back to Britain.

Northamptonshire Police say they are still in regular contact with the friends and relatives of the Ding family, and they have kept them informed of this latest development.
