Kettering: Police Swoop And Make Arrests

Armed police, the dog unit and the Northants Police helicopter have made a number of arrests in Kettering this afternoon.

Officers arrived in force in Montegu Street at around 1pm today (Thursday) and have made a number of arrests near the town centre.

Tresham Street at the junction of Montegu Street was closed causing queues through the town centre.

Montegu Street has now reopened, along with Eskdaill Street, Victoria Street and the Windmill Avenue junction (with Central Avenue / Edinburgh Road).

At this stage, police aren't saying who has been arrested or why.
