Long Delays On M1 J16 Following Lorry Crash

Lorry hits central barrier on M1 in Northants J16, causing long delays for drivers this morning.

A lorry crash on M1 in Northampton this morning is causing long delays for drivers on both sides of the carriageway.

At around 6.15am the lorry traveling northbound hit the central barrier and came off the road down a ditch on the southbound stretch at junction 16 for Daventry.

The are no reports of any injuries.

Crews are now fixing the barrier but recovery for the lorry is expected to take a while as it is full of TV sets.

Heavy traffic is reported on both sides of the carriageway.
