Woman Killed In Horse Fall

A 28 year old woman's died after being thrown to the ground from her horse in Overstone, Northamptonshire.

She was one of two people riding in tandem along the Sywell Road just after 11am on Saturday 18 February 2012 when the horses were startled.  The victim's horse bucked.  It's not known why the horses were spooked.

She was thrown to the floor and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Northamptonshire Police say they're treating what happened as a tragic accident.

The woman has been formally identified as Janette Smith, 28, from Somerford Road, Wellingborough.
