Six more BHS stores in the North East are set to close their doors as part of the high street chain's full closure.
In the coming weeks shops in Darlington, Durham, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Newcastle Northumberland Street, and the Metro Centre are to shut their doors for the last time.
This follows the collapse of the high street chain and the closure of stores in South Shields and Hartlepool last weekend, along with eighteen others across the country. Another thirty will finish trading today.
In total 144 more stores are to close, with 11,000 staff set to lose their jobs. BHS was forced to fold when a suitable buyer could not be found after it went into administration.
As part of the closing down process many stores have been holding sales, with large reductions on stock that has to be moved on.
