The family of a Stockton mother-of-four who died after being struck by a lorry on the outskirts of Durham have paid tribute to a 'loving mum'.
36 year old Kelly Bennett from Rochester Road in Stockton died in the early hours of Saturday morning after she was hit by the truck, on the A690 at West Rainton.
Today her mother, Patricia Bowmer said Kelly had been a popular figure with many friends not only in Stockton but also from Bearpark and Sherburn Road in Durham, where she grew up.
"Kelly loved socialising, playing bingo and having late night chats with her niece, Danielle. She was a loving mum who was immensely proud of her four children and loved spending time with them, helping them with their homework, going to the park and generally having fun with them. She also loved chatting with her friends on social media.
This tragedy has left us all distraught and we are devastated she is no longer with us."
Kelly leaves sons Kieran, 15 yrs, Lewis, aged 14, Nathan, who is 11yrs and a 10-year-old daughter, Lucy.
