Motorcyclist Injured In Collision In Cumbria

It happened on the A66 earlier today

Police are investigating a collision on the A66 in Cumbria.
It happened by the Embleton and Lorton junctions at about 12.50pm today (Nov 6).
The collision involved a motorcycle, ridden by a man, 48, from west Cumbria, and a Vauxhall Astra, driven by a woman, 24, also from the west of the county.
The motorcycle rider was flown by air ambulance to hospital in Preston with serious injuries.
The driver of the Astra was not seriously hurt.
