James Huntington died on Monday
James Huntington, 25, from Wigton, died following a collision on the A66 near Workington on Monday (22 October, 2018).
His family released the following statement in paying tribute to his life:
"Today is the darkest day we have ever had to face as a family. Following a tragic accident, we have lost a loving and caring friend and member of our family.
"James was brought up in Wigton, studied at Nelson Thomlinson School and Hull University. He worked for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for the past two years. He was a fan of rugby and spent many hours watching both local and international matches.
"He selflessly put others before himself and will be sorely missed by his mother and father Gillian and Tony, sister Robyn and his many family members and friends.
"We would also like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the emergency services who attended and thank them for their professionalism in dealing with this tragic event.
