Heart's Perfect Festive Moments

Christmas Tree- Festive Moms

The best spots around the North West to find your Christmas decorations, advent calendars and kick off your season of festivities!

So, it's the first week of December and that means it's time to get in to the Christmas spirit! We've pulled together a list of the best places in the North West to kick off your festive season

Christmas Decorations

Christmas Tree

It doesn't matter if it's real or fake, there are some great places to swing by across the North West to pick up your perfect tree! Newbank Garden Centre has a great selection of both real & fake, with various branches (excuse the pun!) across Greater Manchester. If you find yourself needing a small forest to chose from, Rainfords Christmas tree land in Merseyside has an incredible selection of trees with an awesome chance to WIN your tree for next year! Gather the family, get the tinsel and baubles ready and let's kick off the festive season in style.

Christmas Days Out

Christmas Markets

This year it's Christmas markets galore and we're spoiled for choice in the North West. If it's food and a few glasses of mulled wine you are after, St Georges Hall in Liverpool is filled with cuisines of the world and a huge festive bar which hosts live music throughout the day. As always the Manchester markets offer up the ultimate Christmas experience, don't forget to pop along to Albert Square too, perfect for all the family - you can pick up authentic Christmas decorations from the stalls, enjoy some food and take the kids around the Christmas Maze and amusements. Sometimes it's those smaller markets though that tickle your fancy, of which you'll find loads around, including Bolton, Southport & Preston to name just a few.

Christmas Panto & Shows

Everyone loves a panto, and the North West doesn't fall short when it comes to delivering the goods. Why not combine a trip to the Manchester markets with a visit to The Opera House. They've got a classic favourite up for grabs... Dick Whittington, playing from 9th December - 7th January.

If Cinderella's more your bag and you're wondering if the glass shoe fits, the theatre on Southport Prom has got you covered with magic, music, comedy and special effects - the perfect family day out!

Ice Skating

Get your skates on and glide around at Boltons finest Ice Rink this year! Whether you are a regular on the ice or have never tried it before, you're in for a great day. If you’re more of a land lover then you can still join in the fun watching your friends and family make pirouettes & epic falls, whilst also enjoying everything else that Bolton Winter Festival has to offer! The rink will be set up from now until 7th January 2018.

The Perfect Advent Calendar

Tea Lovers Calendar

We love a brew in the North so this could be the perfect treat for the tea lovers out there! With 24 award-winning tea's behind it's doors your festive mornings will get off to a nice warm start.

Or maybe you fancy something a little stronger? This Gin Advent calendar featuring 24 mini bottles of gin you can enjoy throughout December.
Now, it may be sold out online but we've heard a little rumour there may be some left on the shelves... (don't all run at once!)

Lego City Advent Calendar

Everyone seems to be going crazy for a Lego calendar this year. Our favourite is this Lego City version. It's got 24 of the cutest little festive gifts including Santa's sleigh, a ginger bread house, a Christmas tree and a snowman!
