Village local looks at offering more
Punters at one pub could be able to get stamps with their pint soon, as one village boozer looks at adding a post office at the end of the bar.
Halkyn, Flintshire, has been without a post office since the last one closed last April when the postmaster retired.
"He couldn't sell the business and we couldn't find another place to put it, so I put my hand up and said 'I don't know how we're going to fit this post office into the pub, but we'll give it a go".
Steve Marquis has run The Blue Bell in for nine years now, he's been telling Heart that they're just waiting for the 'ok' now: "We've been working with the post office to come up with an acceptable specification to squeeze the post office counter onto the end of the bar.
"We're still waiting for a decision on the that but we're hoping it will be a positive one, soon."
