Kenny Dalglish Receives Knighthood

From being a top striker in his younger days to raising millions for charity, Sir Kenny's being celebrated for his work on and off the pitch.
His days in football featured three European Cup wins in seven years, and as a manager he earned top-flight league championship titles with Liverpool FC and Blackburn Rovers.
Sir Kenny's off-field heroics include supporting the families of the Hillsborough disaster and his charity work with his wife Marina which has raised more than £10 million for cancer care.
Also being honoured at Buckingham Palace is the actor Tom Hardy, who will be made a CBE for services to drama.
He made his name on the big screen with a series of hard man roles and is best known for films like Inception, Mad Max: Fury Road, Bronson and The Revenant.
Another former footballer being recognised is Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe who will be awarded an OBE for services to his foundation.
Defoe's foundation was launched in 2010 after a hurricane in St Lucia, the Caribbean island his grandparents came from.
Entrepreneur Jo Malone will receive a CBE for services to the British economy and the GREAT Britain campaign.
