12 suspected drug dealers in Merseyside and Cheshire have been arrested. It's after officers executed warrants at addresses in Bootle, Crosby, Southport, Litherland, Anfield and Chester
Today's raids were carried out just a week after 11 people were arrested and charged with drugs offences following raids across Sefton.
Officers executed warrants at 16 addresses and eight men and four women, aged between 18 years and 51 years have been arrested.
Officers recovered two potential firearms which will be examined to establish if they are weapons.
The raids are the culmination of a 12-month investigation by detectives from Sefton in to serious and organised crime in the area.
Chief Superintendent Claire Richards, tells Heart;
"We have carried out a second wave of raids today, predominantly in Sefton, and this policing activity further reinforces our commitment to improving local communities. I hope that our actions have reinforced our message to communities that we have listened to their concerns and taken positive action.
"This operation was set up after local residents raised concerns about drug dealing in their communities and I would like to take this opportunity to stress that if you are aware of serious organised crime, including the supply and distribution of drugs, in your area, let us know and we will take positive action and help you to improve your community.
Police say searches at the properties are on going.
