UK Day instead of May Day?

Government look at moving one of our bank holidays

Now we might have just enjoyed a run of three day working weeks, but the government are asking us if we want to move the May Day bank holiday.

The consultation is asking if we want to move the bank holiday to October and celebrate a UK Day, or we could instead have the bank holiday for St George's Day in England or St David's Day in Wales.
