More Turbines For Peterborough?

21 October 2010, 06:00

Three wind turbines could be put up just two miles outside of Peterborough.

TCI Renewables Ltd wants to put them at Flag Fen on some land owned by Anglian Water.

The turbines would be up to 150 metres high from base to tip.

If approved, it's thought the turbines would generate enough electricity to power 4,700 homes a year.

However, the energy generated by the turbines would be fed into a sewage treatment plant on the land.

A public exhibition where the plans are being displayed is being held today, from 3:30pm to 7:30pm at Flag Fen Archaeology Park.
