Wisbech: 40 Jobs At Risk

40 jobs are at risk at a building and engineering company which is closing its Wisbech office.
Kier plans to shut its Wisbech premises and move operations from there to its office in Cambridge.
The firm says some redundancies are 'inevitable' as a result.
A statement from the company reads: "Following a strategic company review, a decision has been taken to relocate Kier Construction's East Anglian office and create a main office in Cambridge.
This reorganisation will see the centralisation of the region's administration and pre-construction departments.
This will result in the closure of the Wisbech office and a reduction in the number of staff operating from Witham and Norwich.
Office based staff have been advised of the new structure and the company hopes to relocate as many as possible.
Inevitably there will be some redundancies but exact numbers cannot be confirmed until the consultation periods are concluded."
